Delaware County Master Gardener Association
to Award Two $2500 Scholarships for 2019
OSU Extension Delaware County Master Gardener Association (DCMGA) awarded a $2,000 scholarship to Ellen Dicken of Ashley, OH. Ellen is attending OSU and pursuing a degree in Agri-science Educaton with a minor in Production Agriculture with will allow her to teach inside the classroom. She has had a passion about educating others about agriculture. We wish Ellen the best with her endevers.
For 2019 the Delaware County Master Gardeners will be awarding two $2500 scholarships. The scholarships are honoring Nancy Reynolds based on her eighteen years of sharing her horticulture knowledge with the Delaware County community. A copy of the scholarship application and information can be found here. Applications must be submitted by May 31, 2019.
Ohio Master Gardeners are Ohio State University-trained volunteers empowered to educate others with timely, research-based gardening information. Almost 100 master gardeners in Delaware County routinely answer questions, teach classes, perform community service, and attend programs to increase their horticultural knowledge. In 2017, Delaware County Master Gardeners donated 11,339 hours of volunteer service in Delaware County and completed 4,719 educational hours in various advanced gardening topics.
