February & March is the time of year 4-H clubs enroll new members and past members re-enroll. Youth can join at any time of the year, but must to join by April 15th to be eligible for fair.
If you are not familiar with 4-H, it is helpful to first check out the Family Guide or the Project Central website. Hard copies of the Family Guide are available at the Delaware County Extension Office. Check out the types of projects available in 4-H and choose a few that might interest you.

The Delaware Master Gardener Association (DCMGA) is offering two $2500 scholarships for Delaware County residents that have been accepted by or are currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in agriculture, botany, food sciences, horticulture or a related field at an accredited college or university in the United States.
Application deadline: May 31, 2021. Scholarship awarded: June 30, 2021
The 2021 Scholarships honors Charlotte Niceswanger. Charlotte has brought many educational opportunities to the county through her posts on the DCMG’s Facebook page.

A program for amateur gardeners who would like to become OSU Extension Master Gardeners in Delaware County will be offered again in 2021. Trainees will receive 50 hours of education in horticultural topics and will complete a 50 hour internship by participating in research-based gardening education, community outreach and ongoing horticultural projects.
** Our Next Class will be held on Tuesdays from 9am to 4 pm, beginning September 28th and running through November 16, 2021.

The mission of the Delaware County Master Gardener Association is to provide environmentally sound, research-based, horticultural education to the residents of Delaware County. There are many ways to do this but three methods make the education person- and needs-specific: answering questions sent to the HelpDesk, replying to questions submitted to the state-wide Ask a Master Gardener program, and providing recommendations to improve one’s soil based on samples submitted for analysis. And one person has worked tirelessly and quietly on all three: John Heinz.

2020 Ohio 4-H Conference will be Saturday March 14, 2020 located at the Greater Columbus Convention Center
Registration fees include a conference fee and a lunch. Fees must be paid to attend any part of the conference.
Registration postmarked by February 14 is $40.00
Registration postmarked after February 14 is $50 and does *not* include lunch.
